What do artificial intelligence (AI), lazy programmers, and the word ‘vibe’ have in common? It’s vibe coding. The idea is that people without specialised education can create websites and application bots using AI. It seems that now there is no need to learn programming at all. The experts at Filio Force Inc have addressed this issue in this publication.
First, let’s figure out what coding is and how it differs from programming.
Coding is the process of manually writing commands for a computer: what to do, in what sequence, and how exactly. Programming is a broader concept. It is the ability to figure out how everything should work, to understand the logic, structure, and interaction between parts of a project, etc. In other words, coding is a tool, while programming is a way of thinking.
When artificial intelligence writes code at your request, it is called vibe coding. In essence, in vibe coding, a developer (or even a non-developer) describes the desired functions in plain language, and AI translates this into program code.
For clarity, here is a brief example. Access ChatGPT or any other platform and type: ‘Create a Snake game and save it in an HTML file.’ The AI will generate the code. We open the file, and the simplest version of Snake is ready. All it took was an idea and a vibe. Now you are a vibe coder. In other words, vibe coding is like being a foreman on a construction site, according to experts at Filio Force company. You don’t lay the bricks yourself — you give tasks to different specialists. But the best foreman is the one who understands how construction works and can correct the project in time.
By the way, the term vibe coding only became popular in early 2025, so it’s a very recent phenomenon. This happened after Slovak developer, co-founder of Open AI, and former head of Tesla’s autopilot development department Andrej Karpathy wrote the following phrase: ‘Trust the vibe completely. Forget that code even exists.’ He also said that English is now the new programming language. And it seems to be true, because according to the latest data, 25% of companies are already vibe-coding their start-ups. Vibe coding helps small teams accomplish tasks that would previously have required dozens of developers.
There are now more and more programs for vibe coding.
Here are some of the most popular ones:
Now for the main question. Can someone who knows nothing about programming use special programmes to create a start-up or application? Yes and no. A small landing page application or bot can be created even with zero programming knowledge. This is because they are very simple and do not involve much logic. However, if you want to create something complex, such as a business system, a service with logic, or even an application that requires authorisation, registration, and login, then vibecoding alone will not be enough. Vibe coding does not replace thinking, emphasised Filio Force it company. That is, you need to know how internal processes work. Only then will you be able to create high-quality large projects. Perhaps in a few years everything will change, and we will finally forget about classic programming, but for now, this is the situation.
